This is Justin and the thing is that I like that the I-DOG is like speakers for my Apple iPod Shuffle. I like music like Rock, Jazz and Hip Hop and the I-DOG will dance to the music that you play and if you touch his nose he will light up.

When you are on a trip somewhere you can bring your iPod and I-DOG. There are four different designs. I like the one with the Blue Dragon the best. He can tap his foot and he wiggles his head and he wiggles his ears and you can plug in your iPod into your I-DOG and share with your friends and this is why you should buy it for your kids.

Find all four versions at Amazon: my favorite, the Blue Tattoo, the slightly girly Pink Butterfly, the urban looking Green Spots, and the wild Orange Tropics version. They’re all cool.

Oh, and enjoy your dog!

So it’s been over a month since the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, however the excitement spawned by the plethora of series related products has not been dulled around our house.

Justin recently went on line and discovered the Indiana Jones Lego Adventure game for the Nintendo Wii. He’s very excited by the fact that you can “unlock 30 new characters” and that “you can use your whip for anything”.

The boys have enjoyed playing Lego Star Wars for years and when they realized that there is now a similar game available depicting the Raiders storyline, well needless to say the plans for acquiring it have been quite expansive and creative.

Justin wants everyone to understand that while Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures looks and plays a lot like Lego Star Wars but it’s different because “there are no blasters - just a whip”.

Price: $50 for the Nintendo Wii version, the Xbox 360 version, PS3 version, $40 for the PS2 Version, and the Sony PSP version, and $30 for the Nintendo DS version

I like my new Air Soft Pistol because it shoots 300 Feet Per Second (FPS). You will kick butt with this. You will dominate in battles. Trust me, you’ll love it.

The reason I got this first instead of the bigger gun my dad posted about is because it is really easy to carry and it has an extra clip so in an Air Soft war with my friends, when I run out of ammo you can put the second one in and you don’t take so long loading.

Mom also got me and Justin a jar of 5000 BBs. But we still have to pick up as many as we can to use over and over.

Price: $17 for the pistol, and $6 for 5,000 BB’s

Summer is here, and that means fishing should be on the list of things to do for all growing boys (and their dads).

This Spiderman rod and reel from Zebco is a perfect tool for any aspiring fisherman. The three year-old and I hit the lake this weekend after getting this rod in the mail from Amazon this week.

It’s a pretty simple spincast reel with a good little rod, that’s perfectly sized for him… it’s only about three feet long total. And it comes with a practice fishing plug for casting practice that I really liked.

After we arrived at the lake, I spent a few minutes tying a hook to his line, with a little weight on it, and then I let him pick out his first worm. I put it on, helped him cast, and then let him reel it in.

I would cast for him, let him reel it in, and then I’d cast again.

After he got tired of fishing, I put the casting plug on the line, and let him practice casting while I fished for another 30 minutes or so.

All-in-all, we had a blast fishing together, and he now has his very own Spiderman fishing rod that he can tell all his friends about.

Prices: $38.51 for the 2′6″ Zebco Spiderman Rod and Reel

The Indiana Jones Chinese Yo Yo and Paper Hat.

There was hardly a moment all weekend that my young Indy wasn’t creeping through tunnels (behind the couch), bounding over pits of flowing lava (from bed to bed) or battling tretchorous comrades (his older brother) with his trademark fedora, elastically strapped to his head and trusty “whip” by his side.

It’s incredible how much fun he had whipping the Chinese Yo Yo at the floor, the ceiling, the dog… anything and everything in the house was transformed into an artifact, villain or tribesman worthy of the sting from Indy’s whip.

These paper toys couldn’t be less expensive and since each come in a pack of four you’ll be sure to have extras on hand when your young Indy decides to suit up for his fourth (and final?) installment.

The temperature down here in Texas has already broken the 90 degree mark a couple of times and the boys have gone in search of the ultimate squirt gun. This year it looks as though the Super Soaker Artic Shock Blaster has risen to the top.

Justin made his choice based on a couple of great features that come as part of this package: for one the Artic Shock Blaster comes with a freezable core. Just throw it in the icebox over night and then watch your opponents squeal with surprise when you douse them with an icy cold blast from up to 35 feet away.

This particular package couples the Super Soaker with the 50oz strap on Aqua Pack that insures opponents will run out of water long before you and the XP215 Blaster, a handy little backup blaster that’s ready to draw during those infrequent trips to the hose.

Justin says he’s ready for battle. Stay tuned to see what sort of water weaponry Tyler chooses.

This legendary game has been around for a while now but our guys just got plugged in with the Nintendo Wii version a week or so ago and our house has been filled with the ax-shredding sounds of classic rock and heavy metal ever since.

According to Tyler, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is absolutely the best Rock and Roll video game every created. He and his brother never seem to tire of it.

Plus, it’s great seeing the kids get so excited about all the music Mommy and I grew up with. This game’s got plenty, featuring more than 70 of the most legendary rock anthems of all-time.

Guitar Hero III comes bundled with the all-new wireless Gibson Les Paul guitar controller. The exclusive Gibson guitars include innovative features such as removable faceplates allowing the kids to completely personalize their guitars, and a new button color design integrated for an even greater authentic feel and rock experience.

The best part of this game is watching your little ones take full advantage of the Wii’s innovative remote control system, rockin’ out with tongues wagin’, feet stompin’ and heads bobbin’. It’s more entertainment for the money than any stadium show I’ve ever attended.

This week, the boy’s Nana brought along this Badminton Set when she came to visit from Louisiana. It’s been great watching everyone outside enjoying the gorgeous weather and playing this simple but fun backyard game.

The net and rackets that came with this particular set from Pac & Sun are surprising sturdy. They held up well when during one especially long rally, Nana showed exceptional aggressiveness, charging and then falling straight into the net.

Tyler thinks this Double Eagle Replica Automatic Rifle is a totally amazing Airsoft gun (and we parents think it’s awesome that it is priced for less than $40). He’s very impressed that it comes with built-in laser and flashlight as well as safety goggles, magazine and charger. It’s everything you need for backyard combat, day or night. The boys in our neighborhood have regular Airsoft wars, with more than a half dozen kids battling it out for control of the block.

The boys recommend investing in an extra magazine to reduce reload time. Nothing’s worse than getting pinned down behind your cardboard box barricade and running out of BBs when your trapped between the sage bush and mom’s potted plants.

No one ever said war was pretty.

Prices:
Double Eagle M85 Airsoft Gun: $39.00
