Here’s the game we’re taking with us on vacation tomorrow. It’s called Police Blockade. It comes with a booklet that has 60 different challenges in it, each more difficult than the next.

You have to first place the buildings and “bad guy” car and then figure out how to arrange all the other pieces so the bad guy car is trapped. Not as easy as it sounds.

This is a good thinking game and it’s portable. There is a clear plastic lid that fits over the board and it’s all held together by an elastic strap.

These magnetic dive gloves will be a lot of fun at the pool this summer. I’ve tried using quarters, but the kids can’t see them very well at the bottom of the pool, and we tend to “lose” them.

The dive gloves are magnetic and can pick up the 12 fish that are include. Gloves can be adjusted to fit on either hand, so you can play with a friend and each use one. Each glove also has a mesh pocket for storing the fish.

Pokemon cards are the hot thing on our street right now. A big group of boys (and a girl or two) who get together and play and trade cards. My son just picked up this Pokemon Mewtwo Collector’s Tin and absolutely loves it.

The tin comes with 4 TCG booster packs and one foil card. You can also get a portfolio card holder to put your cards in for easy viewing.

Based on the fact that my son carried his tin to school today and carries it around with him at home, I’d say these cards are a good bet as a gift or fun suprise for your child.

Beware of the Dog Game

You play this game by drawing a card that has the number of bones you’re supposed to take out of the dog’s dish.

I’ll bet you can guess what happens. Yep, the dog goes for you when you reach your hand in but you never know when. It’s fun!

Kids will love it. Enjoy!

Pokemon Diamond Version

The boys have been playing Pokemon Diamond like crazy lately. I’m hearing things like…”Use Piplup, he’s got health points” and things of that nature. They’re having a blast with this game.

You come across Pokemon trainers and try to capture Pokemon by battling them. One interesting feature is if you choose a more powerful Pokemon to battle than the one you’re battling, the weaker Pokemon will faint. Funny!

This game is providing tons of entertainment, cooperation and fun for both boys. Highly recommend it.

**Update: Piplup has evolved!!! OMG, how exciting!!!!

Cosmic Catch

Tyler got Cosmic Catch">Cosmic Catch for his tenth birthday. He and the neighborhood kids play with it a lot.

You have this foam ball that has batteries inside. You push a button and the ball starts talking and telling the “players” to sign in. The players wear these colored plastic discs around their hands that allows the ball to figure out who has it.

You can have up to 6 kids playing at a time with a minimum of three required. We’ve pretty much had all the kids on our street playing. They really enjoy it!

If you’re looking for something to get the kids out of the house and get moving, Cosmic Catch will do the trick. It’s for ages 7 and up, but a 6 year old could easily play, too. For just under $20 it’s a great gift idea.

My name is Justin and I want the Monopoly SpongeBob SquarePants game. It has a real jailhouse. When you land on the jail house you have to go to jail.

I like the pieces. They look like the real characters on the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon.

The other funny thing is that Mr. Krabs is on the money. This Monopoly SpongeBob SquarePants game looks really fun. You will like it.
