My 8 year old just found out that when you’re a Cub Scout you can get a pocket knife. How did he find that out? Another boy on our street was walking around whittling on a piece of wood. He said, “It’s okay, I can have this. I’m a Cub Scout.”

If you’ll notice, this is a very simple knife and probably one of the only ones I’d entertain the idea of getting for my son. I’m more of a hands on type, and will most likely NOT let my guy walk around whittling.

But, I would love to see him whittling away trying to make a little animal out of a piece of wood (he thinks it’ll be no problem!).
